The teenage pop sensation Billie Eilish says she lost over 100k followers on Instagram after she uploaded one particular picture in a new interview.
Billie Eilish said that she lost 100k Instagram followers because of a post she made. The Lost Cause hitmaker, 19, disclosed the post in question and the reason fans unfollowed her in her recent magazine cover piece.
Speaking with Elle, Billie revealed:
People hold on to these memories and have an attachment. But it’s very dehumanizing. I lost 100,000 followers, just because of the boobs. People are scared of big boobs.
This is not the first time Eilish has lost 100k followers over a picture.
Last year, the singer was the latest celebrity to join the new Instagram fad in which fans request that celebrities share a photo of specific situations.
Billie’s Instagram account supposedly lost 100,000 followers because of a handful of the images she shared. One detective fan appeared to figure out the reason, and Billie actually shared and commented on the fan’s discoveries.
It all started when a fan requested Billie to reveal her lock screen, which showed a woman exposing her body. Another photo a fan wanted was one of Billie’s drawings, which she is quite proud of.
Billie Eilish shared a personal drawing she made of women’s bosoms. “lol I love boobs,” she captioned the photo. Then, a Twitter follower observed that Billie’s Instagram following dropped from 73 million to 72.9 million after she posted the sketch photo.
Billie spotted the tweet and decided to repost it.
