Did Brian Laundrie's Parents Get Arrested After Their House was Searched?

Brian Laundrie’s parents’ house and car in North Port, Florida was searched for evidence. What’s their business? Did Brian Laundrie’s parents get arrested after human remains that are believed to belong to Gabby Petito were found?

Brain Laundrie‘s parents are now part of the inquiry into the abduction of his van life blogger fiancee Gabby Petito.

Gabby and Brian went on a cross-country long drive that was supposed to last until October, but when Brian came back home alone on September 1st, Gabby’s parents declared her missing to law enforcement agencies 10 days later.

True crime aficionados have taken an interest in the case, and there have even been protests outside the home of Brian’s parents, demanding them to break their silence and assist in the search for the missing person.

However, his parents, like Brian, have remained silent about the incident, refusing to answer investigators’ requests for information. Here is everything we know about Brian’s parents.

Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie were Living with His Parents Prior to the Camping Trip

Previously, Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito resided with Christopher and Roberta Laundrie in North Port, Florida while on their cross-country car trip.

The couple had begun arranging their wedding but opted to put it off until later owing to the continuing COVID-19 crisis, according to reports.

Since Brian and his family declined to comply with law enforcement after Gabby’s disappearance was reported on September 11 by her parents, officials have no idea where she might be now.

As per the New York Post, a letter from Gabby’s parents to the Laundrie family reads:

We beg you to tell us. As a parent how could you put Gabby’s younger brothers and sisters through this? Gabby lived with you for over a year. She was going to be your daughter-in-law. How can you keep her location hidden?

Understandably, Gabby’s parents are distraught right now.

Christopher and Roberta Laundrie’s House in North Port Florida is Now a Crime Scene

The FBI obtained a search order for Christopher and Roberta Laundrie‘s North Port house on 20th September, labeling it a “crime scene.”

The Tampa, Fla., FBI branch tweeted,

The FBI is executing a court-authorized search warrant today at the Laundrie residence in North Port, FL relevant to the Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Petito investigation. No further details can be provided since this is an active and ongoing investigation.

Christopher and Roberta were allegedly held in an unmarked vehicle for almost an hour while police searched their house.

Brian’s parents had reported him missing on September 17 when he failed to return from a trek in the Carlton Reserve the same week. Authorities have not been able to track him down to this point.

Human remains meeting Gabby’s description were discovered at the Spread Creek Dispersed campsite in Wyoming on September 19, although the cause of death is still unknown.

FBI agent Charles Jones said during a news conference,

Full forensic identification has not been completed to confirm 100% that we found Gabby, but her family has been notified of this discovery.

Per Insider, Brian’s lawyer said in a statement:

The news about Gabby Petito is heartbreaking. The Laundrie family prays for Gabby and her family.
