As per the Deadline, Phoenix will star in a movie titled Disappointment Blvd. Details about the film are scarce at the moment, but the plot is described as:
An intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.
Aster is famed for films like Hereditary (2018) and Midsommar (2019), so his next one (which also originates from indie juggernaut A24) will undoubtedly receive quite a focus, in particular with Phoenix in tow.
In addition, the actor is set to join forces with Gladiator director Ridley Scott for a new film titled Kitbag, which sees him portray, Napoleon Bonaparte.

The film focuses on Napoleon’s military life and the emergence of the emperor, and also on his intoxicating and often unstable romantic relationship with his wife, Josephine.
On a personal front, Phoenix welcomed a brand new bundle of joy into his family last year, with the baby named after the Academy Award winner’s late brother River.
During his Oscar speech, the actor praised his sibling while also offering strong words that centered on gender parity and discrimination.
