Sebastian Stan as Ric Flair? The Falcon and the Winter Solider Star is Quite Keen!

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stan wants to portray WWE legend, Ric Flair, in his biopic.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stan has expressed his desire to temporarily trade the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the WWE Universe.

Stan, who is one of the leading stars in the latest Marvel series on Disney+, has opened up about his interest in playing WWE legend Ric Flair in a biopic, opposite I, Tonya (2017) co-star Paul Walter Hauser as Arn Anderson.

Speaking in an interview with Collider, Stan was confronted with a question raised by Hauser, who was eager for the duo to work on a project again, and wondered when that might happen.

Stan said,

We got to do that Ric Flair/Anderson biopic. [Hauser’s] so funny. I mean, he’s such a big wrestling fan and I was a big wrestling fan too growing up. Like, I loved WWF and stuff.

He added,

And we both have a kip-up. So, maybe Ric Flair. I’ll do it in a second if they let me. I mean, pretty soon, I’ll be eligible, I guess.

If Stan is cast as Flair, he will only be the second MCU star to play a WWE Hall of Famer, following in the footsteps of Chris Hemsworth, who is currently working out (more than his usual self) to portray Hulk Hogan.

Earlier this year, the Thor actor said:

This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor.

Hemsworth added there’s also the accent, the physical attributes, and the demeanor. He’ll even have to go down the rabbit hole of the wrestling universe, which he’s quite looking forward to. In addition, he’s going to be blonde and balding as well.

Needless to say, we cannot wait for Chris Hemsworth to take the mantle of the legendary Hulk Hogan. Meanwhile, Sebastian Stan as Ric Flair would be pretty interesting, to say the least.
