Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer is Finally Here with Lots of Familiar Faces!

After so much hype and anticipation, fans finally got to witness the much-awaited Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer with lots of familiar faces from the past franchise.

There’s a lot to untangle in the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer! During Sony’s CinemaCon event in Las Vegas this week, Sony and Marvel released the official trailer for Tom Holland‘s upcoming Spider-Man threequel.

For once, renowned loudmouth Holland wasn’t to fault for the leak, but the debut trailer still included a few revelations, like Alfred Molina‘s Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe‘s Green Goblin returning to the franchise.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield‘s past Spider-Man films got interwoven in the super-hype trailer.

Following the events of 2019’s Far From Home, Spider-Man’s secret identity is revealed to the world, thanks to Mysterio. While Peter and Zendaya’s MJ’s romance is going pretty well, the attention and criticism are taking their toll on Peter.

Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) helps Peter by casting a spell that would supposedly make everybody forget Peter’s true identity. Despite Wong‘s warning, Strange goes on with it and all hell breaks loose.

Inevitably, Strange’s sorcery has unexpected repercussions, bringing back a number of familiar villains. We see the return of Molina’s Doc Ock and his extra limbs, from 2004’s Spider-Man 2.

Likewise, when one of the Goblin’s famous pumpkin bombs rolls across the screen, we hear the ominous voice of Dafoe’s Green Goblin (original 2002 Spider-Man).

Moreover, it looks like Jaime Foxx‘s Electro is reprising his character from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which was released in 2014.

Spider-Man: No Way Home releases on 17th December 2021.
