Chadwick passed away at his home in Los Angeles on August 8, 2020, by his wife Taylor Simone Ledward and family on the side. The 43 years old died after battling with colon cancer for four years which he’s been keeping a secret from media. The news was shared from the Boseman’s official Twitter. Various actors such as The Rock, Ryan Ronalds, and various other Hollywood’s faces expressed their condolence.

By now we already know about his tragic demise, but the thing majority of  fans seems curious about is Will Black Panther 2 happen, will Chadwick Boseman play on it, or will there be a reboot. Hold on as we’ve got all things covered up and according to trustable sources, outlets, and fan pages states this,

Will There be Black Panther 2?

Of course, there will be a next part. The movie is a history – being the first superhero of African descent which turned out to be a Blockbuster hit collecting a box office collection of $1.344 Billion, ‘Three Oscars with 265  nominations.

And regarding the part 2 release and its plots, there is some jolly news that might set up your mood. As per reports from Marvel Fans Forever,

To the people who have a question regarding the Black Panther 2. This is most likely to happen. Because we have Namor who will be against Wakanda. And Wakanda needs T’Challa just like in comics. We all would get to see our King once again for one last time!!! It’s unfair to replace Chadwick’s legacy, which Marvel will never do! By the end, the mantle of Black Panther will be passed on to Shuri similar to that of Comics.

Coming to the movie production of one of Marvel’s biggest movies, Black Panther 2 is yet to begin its production. As per reports from Screen Rant, MCU was set to start Black Panther 2 production from March 2021 and the movie was set to hit the theaters on the Summer of 2022. So its clear Boseman is not in any shots of part II playing his iconic character T”Challa.

Will Chadwick Boseman be Part of it?

And as mentioned above Marvel Studio and director Ryan Coogler there is a possibility of using Digital Double Technology to give a grand send-off to Chadwick Boseman’s character similar to Paul Walker in the Fast & Furious.

Boseman signed for 5 movie deals in 2014 while joining MCU which would’ve finished in the Black Panther 2, so, yeah there might be the possibility of bringing Boseman back from DDT.

Why Shuri has the Highest Possibility of Being the Next Black Panther? – Who is Shuri?

If you guys have watched the movie then you’ve surely been in love with Shuri’s enthusiastic character, beautifully portrayed by actress Letitia Wright. As in Marvel Universe, Shuri is the princess of the fictional African Kingdom of Wakanda born from parents T’Chaka and his third wife Ramonda. Shuri was first introduced to the comics in Black Panther Volume 4 #1 in November 1998.

So what makes Shuri be the next Black Panther? As based on Comics, Shuri is as trained as her brother but was held back from being the ‘Black Panther’ after her mother insisted brother being the right one to take the kingship and the position of Black Panther.

Following, she goes moves the U.S. to study nuclear physics (which the Marvel can relate to the Black Panther ending where T’Challa is heard saying the house where his uncle was killed to be the first Wakanda Outreach Centre). Following with the comics she returns to Wakanda where T’Challa trains her in case of need or any emergency situation to be Black Panther.

Subsequently, on the higher volumes, the need arises where Shuri is seen taking the responsibility of Queen in T’Challa’s absence, however on the King of Wakanda 4th outings. But Marvel has to cut-off some scenes if they want to follow the storyline from Comics because at a point Shuri sacrifices her life for her brother but later inhabits her soul in Djalia who is stronger with mystic powers and carries all the memories of Wakanda.

MCU might need to twist some plot here and make Boseman dead in the scene instead of Shuri and continue the story without replacing Boseman character. And why Shuri might become the next lead is assumed to be of various reasons such as Movie Industry giving priority to the female-led character, marginalized community, and people with color.

Why Erik Killmonger aka Michael B. Jordan Might Not be for the Role?

Majority of fans are also heard coming out with predictions that Marvel might bring back Erik Killmonger as the next Black Panther. But MCU is never going to do that, No! The main reason Erik Killmonger won’t be the next Black Panther is due to the negative impression he has set the fans as well in the Universe. Perceiving with the movie logic, Wakanda won’t accept him as their King, precisely after doing so much negative things in the kingdom, killing people, sabotaging Wakanda and their king.

And the Marvel followers will also not be happy to see such dark character turn into a superhero. Bringing him back will also look illogical to the audience. So we won’t think Killmonger will be back when the story can be continued in a legacy.

Who are the Villains?

Who will be the next villains in the coming Black Panther is also one of the curious factors among people. So based on all the fandom theories, movie leaks, and Marvel associates hints, some of the villains who can part of the series is M’Baku.

M’Baku has the Lowest Possibility

M’Baku is one of the earliest rivals of Black Panther and an infamous leader from the ‘Jabari Tribe’ but we see the slightest possibilities of him being the antagonist as he’s already seen being friend with the king of Wakanda . Bringing M’Baku as a villain isn’t a wise choice and we already know that T’Challa can defeat him. So M’Baku goes off the list, (we want more powerful villain).

Namor the Sub-Mariner

Namor the Sub-Mariner is one of the highly predicted and anticipated villains for the next part. Matter of fact, there are also references of Namor in movies like Iron Man and Avengers. The Half human and Half-Atlantean is one of the characters who fans and the production team have always wanted to have in the movie. He has also been teased before Iron Man 2 where Nick Fury calls Iron Man to talk about Avenger’s initiative.

In the plot from Iron Man movie, Fury shows Iron man the track of  insecure tracking places across the world where there is a mark seen in the Atlantic Ocean. Based on that, a lot of people are coming with possibilities of Namor being the next big opposite role. And with that Marvel President Kevin Feige is also heard talking about bringing Namor into the MCU.

Similarly, in the Avengers: End Game, there is a part where Okoye shares there was a underwater earthquake! Fans has also predicted him to be on the next part due to an underwater earthquake on the avengers.

Namor is also one of the notable opposite characters who has been in the Marvel Universe sine 1939 as far as we go with the comics. Namor lies from the secret ocean land Atlantis, similar to Wakanda. The Sub-Mariner is  a sort of anti-hero who always puts the needs of his people before anything else. So it wasn’t for Namor it wouldn’t make sense right!

Doctor Doom

And Atlantis might only not be another nation who could attack Wakanda. There is also possibilities of Doctor Doom, the ruler of Latveria. He is one of the toughest villain who fans would also be happy to see. However, majority of fans seem to be expecting Doctor Doom to appear in Fantastic Four. So MCU might save him for later.
