Anthony Mackie Says ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Co-Star Sebastian Stan is the “Most Boring Person”

Anthony Mackie Says 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' Co-Star Sebastian Stan is the "Most Boring Person"

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ star Anthony Mackie says Sebastian Stan is the most boring person he’s ever met.

Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) are currently enjoying the amazing reception to their new Disney+ show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

Given all the stuff Marvel projects tend to deliver, the off-screen bromance between the lead stars has to be one of the best things to come out of it.

Indeed, going all the way back to Captain America: Civil War (2016), the unlikely combo of these two Marvel superheroes provided a fantastic comic relief, owing to Stan and Mackie’s organic chemistry.

The duo clearly carried that over to the new Disney+ miniseries and even its marketing push. So much so that their on-screen and off-screen gestures are almost identical.

To offer a perfect example, consider their latest interview with BBC Radio 1, in which the star behind Falcon made a playful joke about his co-star by referring to his shyness.

Acknowledging that his fellow Avengers counterpart has a decent sense of humor, Mackie admitted:

He’s literally the most boring person I’ve ever met in my life.

Stan, on the other hand, was swift to react, saying:

The reason I’m so ‘boring’ is because half the time I have to listen to him talk. He just talks so much that I never get a word in, so he never knows anything about me.

Obviously, Anthony Mackie is notorious for teasing his coworkers both during and after filming, previously giving Spider-Man star Tom Holland a hard time for being too young.

Chris Evans notably said every time the actor is on the set, fun invariably rises while productivity drops by at least 10%.
