Emilia Clarke has moved on from her days as the Dragon mother Daenerys Targaryen in 2021. But no matter what she works on for the rest of her days, Star Wars, rom-com, it won’t matter as she will be known for her time in the HBO series Game of Thrones. House of The Dragon is the new HBO series and question regarding the show is also common so when Emilia was asked about providing some advice for stars, she had a simple advice for all.
Game of Thrones ran for eight seasons on HBO and concluded its acclaimed run in 2019 with a less than appreciated finale. The choices made and all the consequences have all been properly documented so there is no point in going over it again. The show followed 7 kingdoms as they vied for the Iron Throne to become the ruler of Westeros.
Emilia Clarke starred as Daenerys Targaryen, one who was promised to be destined for the throne. Well, we all know what it all turned out to be in the end, Emilia Clarke has herself expressed her disappointment as to how her character was handled in the final season. But recently she had some advice for the cast members of House of The Dragon, especially her Targaryen “ancestors.”
House of The Dragon’s Targaryens, Better Listen to Emilia Clarke’s Advice
House of The Dragon is the latest HBO Game of Thrones prequel show coming in 2022. After a canceled prequel, we are certain this show is coming soon as star-studded cast has already begun filming as evident by the official set photo released. We also got confirmation that the show got a full season order from HBO and will probably be a massive addition to the Max streaming service.
The new prequel show takes place about 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It tells the story of a Targaryen civil war as wives and children fight to figure out who has the right to sit on the Iron Thrones. House of The Dragon is based on the book Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin and it will detail the battle between Aegon II and Rhaenyra Targaryen for the right to be the ruler of Westeros.
As the show details the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen, it is obvious she is going to get some questions about the show. One of which was the look of the Targaryen‘s with their silver hair. In Game of Thrones Emilia Clarke can be seen with silver hair and it was all wig until the final season when she decided to bleach her hair. The actress had an advice as well as a disclaimer for anyone having to sport silver hair in House of The Dragon.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress said, “No, it is not worth it. I’m speaking from the other side, and it’s not worth it. I literally cut off all my hair because I killed it with a load of bleach. (Laughs.) If you like your hair, keep it your natural color. That goes for everyone. (Laughs.)”
For the final season of Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke parted with the wigs that she previously mentioned took hours to put on. Instead, the actress went with her natural hair and bleached it to look like silver for the show. Well, that was not a sound idea as the actress found out later on as her hair started to break and she had to cut it short.
The set photo from House of The Dragon showed some silver hair sporting actors and it all looked like a wig. Emilia Clarke’s advice can work in people’s daily lives also, bleach is not a particularly bright idea for all to get white or silvery hair. So, use it at your own peril. Don’t take our word for it, the mother of dragons said so.
