When will Friends Reunion Special air and what will it be about?
You might think it’s not happening, judging by all the delays and postponements, but the Friends reunion special is still on course and is scheduled to complete in the next few months.
Following Matthew Perry‘s remarks last year, Lisa Kudrow has provided fans a further exciting update on the television special, revealing she’s even recorded “a little something” for the show.

Speaking to Rob Low on his Literally! podcast, Lisa revealed the HBO Max show is scheduled to hit our screens “early spring.” She added,
I pre-shot something for it already. So, we’re definitely doing it, because I already shot a little something.
The Phoebe actress also clarified about the type of format the reunion will have, claiming it’s not exactly a reboot and there will be no script at all.

She insisted fans should not expect her to appear as Phoebe Buffay.
We’re not portraying our characters. It’s us getting together, which just doesn’t happen a lot – and has never happened in front of other people since 2004.
As for the reason the highly-anticipated reunion episode is yet to take place, Friends co-creator Marta Kaufmann has previously explained the episode requires “a live audience.”
It really is a huge part of what Friends is… We cannot do it without them. Everyone is all in and we are just waiting for that time when it feels connected to bring in a live audience.
It goes without saying, fans cannot wait for what’s in store with this Friends Reunion Special.
