"We're filling a gap in the market that they don't currently have." Nobody is building anything new. No one believed we could construct a high-quality new home in that time frame. At the same time that folks are rehabbing homes, we're creating new homes." Mika commented on the show.

Although Mika said they design and build roughly 22 homes every year on average, the majority of them involve clients who aren't seen by the audience. Each episode depicts the full process, from land preparation to the unveiling of the completed home to the buyers.
