Miley Cyrus Breaks Her Silence for the First Time Since Liam Split

Miley Cyrus opens up about her romantic life, including her most recent high-profile split from Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus refused to hold back in her first elaborate interview following her divorce with Liam Hemsworth as she addressed her much-talked-about affair with Kaitlynn Carter and her return to the music industry.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker was a guest on Alex Cooper‘s “Call Her Daddy” podcast last week, where she declared:

I love who I am so much right now that if any of those things hadn’t had happened, I’m not sure that I would have been the same person.

The singer’s private life did not stop making headlines on media following her stunning wedding to Liam Hemsworth on December 30, 2018.

The lovebirds, who had been dating on and off for ten years prior to exchanging vows, secretly got married at their home in Tennessee merely a month after losing their house in the wildfires of Malibu.

Tragically, their married life failed to go the distance as US Weekly revealed in August 2019 the duo was going their seperate ways. Around the same time, Miley was spotted with 31-year-old Kaitlynn Carter.

The two ladies were romantically involved for a couple of months before Miley got linked with Cody Simpson in October 2019. Although the pair was hot and heavy for ten months, reports emerged they broke up hours before the recent Cooper podcast.

Back on 13th August, a source told US Weekly, Cyrus & Simpson, who knew each other since they were teens realized they were best off as buddies.

Simpson then congratulated her on her latest song, “Midnight Sky.” In the single, Cyrus mentions she “plays with both gender roles.”

Quoting the song she wrote three weeks earlier, Miley said:

I loved having this anthemic, pansexual, bisexual anthem. … she’s got her hands on her … he’s got his hands on my waist. I felt like it was empowering for me and will be for my fans. … That was me in my authentic form; I feel like I’m thriving.

Meanwhile, Liam Hemsworth is not entirely happy with ex-wife Miley Cyrus.

The couple met while filming “The Last Song” in 2010 and remained on-off until their wedding in December 2018.

Merely a few months back, the pair revealed their separation and divorce began early this year.

A source now told Us Weekly, Miley, 27, is no longer in good terms with the 30-year-old “Hunger Games” actor.

“Liam kind of has a low opinion of Miley at this point,” said the source. “He was really hurt by their split.”

The insider reported the two haven’t been in speaking terms following their split, and that Hemsworth was sort of bitter because of how easily his former wife moved on.

Since the breakup, Cyrus involved in a short affair with Kaitlynn Carter until a romance with the Australian singer, Cody Simpson, which is believed to have ended lately.

Following the breakup, Hemsworth went to his family for support. The source said:

[He] has had the support of his family to help him move on. Liam has been trying to be as private as possible and respectful about their relationship and breakup, and it’s a shame to him and his family that certain aspects about his and Miley’s relationship have been made public.

They added:

He’s a very traditional and good guy and was very hurt by the way specific instances played out in front of the world.

Earlier this year, the star talked to Men’s Health Australia, opening up about the separation.

“This last six months, honestly, for keeping my head level and just staying balanced, I’d say exercise has been big for me,” he admitted.

When asked if he’s in a “rebuilding” phase of his life, Hemsworth said that it was a “good way to put it.”
