Millie Bobby Brown‘s watch nearly ended too soon due to the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.

The 16-year-old recently appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed:
This industry is just full of rejection. You get no’s, a lot of no’s before you get a ‘yes.’
Millie was merely getting started with her acting career when she auditioned in Game of Thrones. The character she was trying out for happened to be the gutsy Lyanna Mormont, the role which was ultimately won by Bella Ramsey.
Brown said,
I got a no for that. That’s kind of when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,’ and I guess I really wanted that role.
Lyanna, who had been a breakthrough character in the show, starred as an ally to Jon Snow and Sansa Stark for the final three seasons. She finds her way as Jon and Sansa are assembling the North to battle the wicked Ramsay Bolton and snatch Winterfell back from him.

She soon became a fan-favorite personality because of her ability to dominate grown men with her fiery attitude. Impressively, she gave the despicable Ramsay her killer death-glare while she normally displayed a full sense of boldness and ferocity towards everyone and everything.
Bella continued the role till season 8 episode 3, where she fought a giant wight during The Long Night. Sadly, she did not overcome the battle and bit the dust towards the end of the episode.
Meanwhile, Brown, upon getting rejected for the part, was more than willing to give up acting until she auditioned one more time for a Netflix project titled Montauk, which ultimately became the well-renowned Stranger Things.
The Netflix paranormal series premiered in 2016, the same year the character of Lyanna Mormont was introduced in Game of Thrones season 6.
