New 'Loki' Trailer Shows God of Mischief Trying to Right Wrongs

The God of Mischief strives to make things right in the new trailer for the eagerly-awaited Disney+ series Loki.

The first official trailer for Disney+‘s Loki has been released by Marvel Studios, and the God of Mischief couldn’t look more mesmerizing.

The clip starts with Loki and the Tesseract being taken to the Time Variance Authority, where Loki is compelled to respond to Owen Wilson‘s Mobius while wearing a prison uniform and a power-nullifying collar.

The TVA’s function is then clarified as maintaining the appropriate flow of time, which was interfered with by Loki when he fled with the Tesseract during his escape in Avengers: Endgame (2019). As a result, Loki‘s role will be to assist the TVA in resolving the problem.

Like the trailer shows, Loki series will focus on a slightly different iteration of the character as he is not the same Loki who was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

The current version of the Asgardian last seen in Avengers: Endgame (2019), snatched the Tesseract from the 2012 iteration of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes following the Avengers’ attempt at the time heist. After which, Loki ends up fleeing to unfamiliar locations.

Promising the Disney+ show would surpass expectations, VFX supervisor Bradley Parker remarked,

We’re working furiously to make this thing as great as possible, and I think people are going to be thrilled when they see it.

The official plot for the show reads:

[Loki] Follows Loki after the events in Avengers: Endgame as the trickster uses the power of the Tesseract to travel throughout human history and change historical events.

Loki starring Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Richard E. Grant, premieres on 11th June 2021 on Disney+.
