Michael Jai White Reveals His Eldest Son Passed Away from COVID-19 Months Earlier

Michael Jai White recently revealed that his oldest son died from COVID-19 complications a few months earlier at the age of 38. The actor was only 15 when his son was born.

Michael Jai White has stated that his oldest kid died as a result of a struggle with COVID-19. The actor and martial artist, 53, was chatting to VladTV when he revealed the death of his son.

Michael stated during his interview that his son stayed in the hospital for a long time, so it didn’t happen immediately.

He went on to say that his eldest had been suffering from substance misuse for some years, which had “compromised” his health throughout his coronavirus infection.

The actor shared,

Unfortunately, he was still kinda out there in the streets hustling, wasn’t doing well, started getting on substances. He’d come out, go back in, all that type of stuff.

The Blood and Bone star recounted that his son, who had a wrecked immune system as a result of substance addiction, laid in the hospital for a long time before passing away, and that COVID-19 was awaiting him.

Michael Jai White added,

Ultimately, when he got sick and went to the hospital, COVID was waiting for him… That was the knockout blow.

Michael’s oldest child was born when he was only 15 years old. He also has five other kids, not counting his stepkids from his prior relationship with Gillian Iliana Waters.

Michael is most recognized for his appearances in Arrow (2013-19), Wonderland (2000), and The Dark Knight (2008).
