Niecy Nash Will Be Hosting GLAAD Media Awards’ Virtual Ceremony

Niecy Nash is the new host of the GLAAD Media Awards.

Niecy Nash will be serving as the host of the 32nd GLAAD Media Awards, the advocacy organization revealed this week.

Nash said in a statement,

I am so thrilled to be hosting this year’s GLAAD Media Awards, honoring the LGBTQ stories and images that change the world by growing acceptance and understanding.

Nash – recently the subject of plastic surgery – added she and her wife Jessica are both living in the newly-wed paradise, and she looks forward to taking that energy and love to GLAAD’s biggest night. “Be ready for a surprise or two!”

Among the nominations for this year’s GLAAD awards are Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Happiest Season, whilst the TV nods include Schitt’s Creek and Love, Victor.

Like last year, the event will take place virtually as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

GLAAD is also collaborating with the popular video-sharing platform TikTok on the “TikTok Queer Advocate of the Year” award, honoring a content creator who has lifted LGBTQ awareness.
