John Cena exchanged vows with his girlfriend, Shay Shariatzadeh, in a secret ceremony.
John Cena is ensuring his WWE catchphrase, “You Can’t See Me,” is not just a line anymore as he secretly married his girlfriend turned wife Shay Shariatzadeh.
Several publications confirmed 12 Rounds star tied the knot with the Canadian native in Tampa, Florida, on Monday, October 12. Currently, there are barely any details of the secret wedding that was first mentioned by PWInsider.
Fans of the wrestling icon heard about his relationship with Shay back in March 2019. The duo was spotted together on a date night in her hometown of Vancouver, Canada, but they largely kept things to themselves.

Later in October 2019, the pair confirmed their relationship with a red carpet appearance at the Playing With Fire premiere. At that moment, John stated:
What’s truly special about this one is that, no matter what projects I’m involved in the future, this one will always have a special meaning because I got to film a special project and meet someone special.
John and Shay went on to spend date nights in numerous movie premieres, most notably Dolittle (2020), where they exchanged a sweet kiss for everyone to see.

Then, merely a week following the Dolittle red carpet event, Shay was seen sporting a diamond ring on her finger. At the time, an eyewitness told E! News:
She had a huge rock on her left hand! They were definitely holding hands, that’s when I noticed him walk by.
Neither of the lovebirds has confirmed or denied their engagement, but now it seems the speculations couldn’t have been more accurate.
Prior to romancing with Shay, John had a six-year relationship with WWE diva Nikki Bella, but the couple called off their engagement in May 2018. Their reps shared,
After much contemplation and six years of being together, Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple… While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.
They had temporarily reconciled for two months, only to reveal in October 2018 that after “much time and soul-searching alone and together,” they had come to the decision of officially calling it quits once and for all.
