The New Musical Era is starting as Adele’s new album is out soon after a five-year hiatus.
The 15th time Grammy winner finally announced her 4th album which fans around the world were eagerly waiting for. On Instagram and Twitter on October 5, the English singer and songwriter announced her new album release.
Since we’re all just waiting for the massive release, let’s talk about what we have known so far about the musical genius’s new album.

Adele’s new album will be called “30” reflecting her life and frame of mind at the age of 30 similar to her previous albums named “25”, “21” and “19”. In 2019, she shared on Instagram,
“30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean it to it all. No matter how long we are here for life is constant and complicated at times. I’ve changed drastically in the last couple of years and I’m still changing and that’s okay.”
So far, we’ve known that the first song drop from the album will be “Easy on me” which is set to release on October 15 at midnight U.K time. For the fellow Americans, it’s set to release on Oct 14 at 7 P.M.

Adele also posted a teaser of her new song with an emotional piano ballad which also suggests a new music video from the 33-year-old singer. So, are y’all ready for an emotional roller coaster with her new album?
Vogue also shared some song lyrics from the chorus of Easy on me and it goes like this:
“Go easy on me baby/ I was still a child. Didn’t get the chance to / Feel the world around me.”
She told to Vogue UK, “This was the first song I wrote on the album. It came while I was singing in Shower”. She also went on and shared that she couldn’t write anything else for the following six months.

Adele’s had some rough years in her life following her divorce and break up with her son. The English star feels like she took away the happiness of her 9-year-old son by choosing to divorce. She shared “That’s a real wound for me and I don’t know if I’ll be able to heal.”
Throughout her album “30” she started holding herself accountable as she realized that she was the problem. Adele shared that every other album was focused on “You did this / You did that! Fuck you! Why cant u be there for me! Then she was like “Oh, shit, I’m the running theme, actually. Maybe it’s me!” she told Vogue.

She further shared that most of us may assume the album’s about her divorce and whatnot. But it was more about her divorcing her old self and finding a new one. She shared to Vogue, ” The record is about “Self-Destruction: but also “Self-reflection and the sort of Self-redemption”.
Adele mentioned that album 21 is “not here anymore” and she’s never letting go of the new album. It’s really special for her and she wants to share herself with everyone.
