Disney Pays Tribute to Chadwick Boseman with New Intro in Black Panther

Check out Black Panther’s new opening as a tribute to late actor Chadwick Boseman.

Marvel Studios revamped the Disney+ opener on the occasion of the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman‘s birthday.

The actor who portrayed T’Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe outings such as Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019), in addition to the solo Black Panther movie, passed away due to colon cancer on 28th August 2020. He would have been 44 today (29th November).

Geeks of Color shared the new opening on Twitter.

Marvel’s introductory MCU sequences usually include some of their best heroes, from Captain America and Iron Man to Doctor Strange, Hulk, and Black Widow. However, this latest edition only includes clips of Boseman.

First Marvel did their Marvel Studios intro in honour and remembrance of Stan Lee and now for Chadwick Boseman. I believe that is true honour and respect for those who are no longer with us.

Since the confirmation of his sad death was posted by his family on his verified social media in August, Marvel fans can’t help but speculate what the future holds for the Black Panther franchise – which so many viewers across the globe enjoyed during the first iteration.

Marvel Studios later confirmed, “digital double” was never an option stating there’s only one Chadwick Boseman and he’s not with us anymore.

Moreover, the filming for Black Panther 2 will reportedly begin in July 2021, where Letitia Wright (Shuri), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Angela Bassett (Ramonda) are all expected to reprise their roles.

It’s been commonly assumed Wright’s Shuri, T’Challa’s genius younger sibling, will play a more influential role in the future.
