'Game of Thrones' Star Kit Harington is Returning to TV

Kit Harington is making a comeback to TV with Amazon’s Modern Love.

Game of ThronesJon Snow star Kit Harington is a new cast member on Modern Love in the lead-up to season 2 of the romantic comedy anthology series.

The show which made its debut on Amazon Prime in October 2019 is expected to explore “love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self-love” in the forthcoming second season.

When the series returns to the streaming service later this year, Harington—who is most renowned for playing Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy show Game of Thrones—will be joined by the likes of Jack Reynor (Free Fire), Anna Paquin (True Blood), Lulu Wilson (Hill House), Lucy Boynton (The Politician), as well as Dominique Fishback and Minnie Driver.

Showrunner John Carney said in a statement:

We’re so excited to bring a second season of this series to life, and give an opportunity to really shine a light on what matters most.

He added,

With so much uncertainty in our current world, these stories bring truth and love to people everywhere, and I’m so appreciative to be a part of making that happen.

Since his long haul at Game of Thrones drew to a close in 2019, Harington, who just welcomed his first child with GOT co-star/partner Rose Leslie, starred in a single episode of Netflix’s Criminal and finished shooting Marvel’s highly awaited superhero film The Eternals (2021).
