Shane Richie made an announcement of his first job after leaving the castle.
I’m A Celebrity star Shane Richie has barely left the castle for a day after getting voted off the program on 3rd December during the semi-final, but the actor is already prepping for his next venture.
Richie, who is well-renowned for his appearance as Alfie Moon in the British soap opera EastEnders, will return to the West End stage show Everybody’s Talking About Jamie in January 2021, to reprise his role as Hugo/Loco Chanelle.
Richie performed in the West End in 2019 and in the UK tour in the early weeks of 2020. He’ll return to the show in London on the 5th of January, 2021.

The actor said,
I can’t wait to swap my castle walking boots for a pair of high heels and return to Everybody’s Talking About Jamie as Hugo / Loco Chanelle in January.
Richie continued,
After 2020 we could all do with a little bit of glitter in the grey and having been with Jamie both in the West End and on UK Tour it’s going to be a fabulous way to start the New Year.
London theatre owner and producer Nica Burns said,
We are delighted that Shane Richie is returning to sprinkle his special star dust on the role of Hugo / Loco Chanelle. What a treat!
The actor has featured in a variety of other stage plays, including Grease (1996), Boogie Nights (1997), and The Perfect Murder (2016).
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will start performances at the West End Apollo Theater on 12th December, with social distancing in full effect. Meanwhile, seats for the show are now available online.
The award-winning musical follows the tale of Jamie New, 16, a teen residing in a council county in Sheffield who believes he doesn’t fit in – but he’s adamant he’s got all the tools to be a star.

Aided by his caring mother and good friends, Jamie seeks to defeat racism, smash the bullies, and move out of the shadows and into the sunlight.
The musical was later made into a film scheduled to be released in February 2021.
