Kanye West is trying to get his name changed!
It was reported this week by TMZ that the 44-year-old Closed on Sunday singer has submitted documents to change his name legally.

Kanye, who was born Kanye Omari West, has filed paperwork to change his name to “Ye.” It’s not the first time we’ve heard of his plans to alter his name.
Back in 2018, the rapper tweeted: “the being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE.”
Kanye is presently prepping for another listening event for his upcoming album Donda, which will be released in 2019 after the release of Jesus Is King.

The album was supposed to be released in July, however, it was put back to 6th August.
Currently, no release date has been officially confirmed.
