Bryton James shares a romantic message on his girlfriend Brytni Sarpi’s birthday.
For those who’re familiar with the real-life romance between The Young and the Restless cast members Bryton James (Devon) and Brytni Sarpy (Elena)—recently cataloged in a photo-filled dating timeline — could have been mildly shocked by what transpired on her 21st birthday.
Her boyfriend took to Instagram to shower her praises with a charm that would have warmed even the toughest of hearts.
James wrote,
You are simply the best — and for good reason. You work harder than anyone else at it!
The soap star then upped the intensity of romance with the sweetness and honesty that suits his persona.
I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate you today and always.
Needless to say, those playful, intimate pictures he uploaded couldn’t be more adorable.

Merely a few weeks earlier, Sarpy celebrated James’ birthday, and amid the wonderful wishes and the royal attention he gained from his family, he was left amazed in the best possible manner. “Thank you,” he said to them all, for the whole month of fun!
Sarpy, who just recently started playing a recurring role of Rianna on Tyler Perry’s soap, The Haves and the Have Nots, opened up with co-star Joshua Morrow (Nick) during a Q&A session in which the actress disclosed the very first occasion she felt she could turn James into something more than merely a co-star.

The duo bumped into each other, she recalled, when she was auditioning for the part of Elena. Initially, he was “some random guy”—her words — who guided her and helped her find the way from the CBS parking lot to the headquarters of The Young and the Restless. Later, she learned he was going to be the regular character she would be reading with.
We kind of looked at each other and laughed, then we auditioned together. I was very comfortable. He’s a great reader.
But it wasn’t till much later that Sarpy discovered James was, as Joshua Morrow labeled him, “just a teddy bear.” It came during an exhausting day on the set when half of the cast was assembled to film the opening of Society. There was a lot of waiting around, not a lot of dialogues, and when this unfolds, “I get really goofy,” said Sarpy.
Much to her surprise, James got just as nutty. This was the first time she thought this man is someone who, at the very least, will become a pretty good friend down the line. As it turns out, they became much more than that.
