Kathryn Hahn was a show stealer in the first season of WandaVision on Netflix. The actress known for her comedic performances put in an evil twist for her villainous turn in the Disney Plus show. Her performance as Agatha Harkness also won over millions of audience members who cannot believe WandaVision will be the end of the character. Well, according to Kevin Feige, it may not be the end just yet.

The Disney Plus series was a continuation of story for Wanda Maximoff after the events of Infinity War and Endgame. A volatile Wanda takes over a town and creates her own world with her husband Vision and two sons. But all that power also brings the attention of powerful witch Agatha Harkness who sets about finding how Wanda is doing everything she is doing without training and study.

Once in a blue moon Marvel stumbles upon a great villain in one of their stories and Agatha was that perfect villain. But for most fans, the pain here was the almost certainty she was going to be a single season baddie. Well, Kevin Feige has alleviated some of that pain and suffering by saying Kathryn Hahn will be back in the MCU after she is done with most of her commitments.

Kevin Feige Talks Agatha Harkness/Kathryn Hahn Future in the MCU After WandaVision

WandaVision had one of the most unique stories in comic book adaptation history. The show was riff on sit-coms from multiple generations and no one had clue as to what was really happening. Even near the end, the identity of the villain was a mystery as we thought it Wanda “all along.” Well, how wrong we were as century old with Agatha Harkness showed her true face showing who was really in control of Westview.

In probably the catchiest song of the year, Kathryn Hahn stole the whole show within three minutes. Her revelation was fun, unique, and even though she was a villain, well received by the fans. It was bitter sweet introduction however because most fans suspected she was going to meet her demise by the end of the show.

WandaVision was touted as a limited series so there was little to no expectation for a second season. That also meant the villain situation needed to be dealt with by the finale. Well, we all know what happened to Agatha Harkness in the finale and with no season 2, fans were already asking for a spinoff. Kevin Feige was all smiles about the reaction as he spoke with Rotten Tomatoes.

The producer extraordinaire said, “The comics are filled with many lifetimes of spectacular characters and when you find the best actors to portray them it can quickly go from an audience never hearing of a character to them upset with us that we haven’t already announced their own standalone movie. And that makes us all very happy. You will see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2 next, then maybe an assortment of other things. But within the MCU, it can’t come soon enough. Let’s put it that way.”

The comics are filled with stories of revivals, reincarnations and rising from the dead. So, there would be no surprises if Agatha came back for a spinoff show that continued on from the time she lost to the Scarlet Witch. But even more interesting story would be to dive into the past of Agatha Harkness, a centuries old witch has seen and done things in her past.

Kathryn Hahn herself mentioned that being alive for hundreds of years means Agatha came across some interesting people in her life. And constructing a story from all that history would not be such a hard thing for a talented writer’s room. Even Kathryn is on board for a little exploration, so, maybe Kevin Feige can wet the beaks of fans by giving another limited series, this time just to Agatha.
