WandaVision Star Randall Park Teases Character's Future in the MCU

Will we see more of Agent Woo in the future MCU projects?

Agent Woo star Randall Park spoke about his future in the MCU beyond the Disney+ series WandaVision.

Park first made an audio cameo reprising his MCU role as FBI agent Jimmy Woo, as he called Wanda over the radio earlier this season, before undertaking a key role in exploring the mysteries of Westview, New Jersey, in the latest episode.

Agent Woo represents the Bureau in liaising with SWORD and Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) to see if Wanda and Vision have developed their own mystical world in a town that does not currently exist.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Park appeared delighted to be asked about the prospect of returning beyond WandaVision so that Agent Woo could solve more mysterious events.

He beamed,

That would be so cool. Really, if they called me up for anything, I would do it just because I love the Marvel universe and also the people are so great.

Randall added,

They’re so talented and smart and really nice people. So any chance to work in the Marvel universe again, I’d take it in a heartbeat. But if it ended here, I’d be very thankful – especially being a part of this show.

Park confessed that he never thought he’d return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his adventures in Ant-Man and Wasp (2018), so receiving a call for WandaVision was a pleasant surprise.

The actor recalled,

I genuinely thought it was a one-off. I was so amazed that I was in a Marvel movie and that I got to be funny in a Marvel movie. It was just such a fun time working with that whole gang.

Park continued,

I was just for sure like, ‘This couldn’t happen again,’ and I kind of left it at that. I didn’t think I was going to come back. But when I got the call, like I said, it was like, ‘Yes. No question, I will be there.’

WandaVision airs on Fridays exclusively on Disney+.
