Witney Carson reveals she had COVID-19 when she gave birth to her baby boy.
Witney Carson was coronavirus positive when she delivered her baby. During the latest Q&A session on her Instagram Story, the DWTS Pro disclosed she had COVID-19 in January when she and her partner Carson McAllister welcomed their boy, Leo.
She wrote on her Instagram Story,
So I’ve debated sharing this or not… but yes we did have COVID when Leo was born.
Besides having the virus, Carson disclosed she and her spouse, unfortunately, transmitted COVID-19 to her parents on Christmas Eve.
The 27-year-old wrote how it broke her heart that her parents could not meet their grandson.
They weren’t out of quarantine yet and had to meet their grandson for the first time through a window.
After Leo’s birth, Carson shared her experience on Instagram, revealing the delivery was the toughest as well as the happiest day of their lives, which involved 24 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of pushing, and an emergency C-section.
Speaking with ET in July, merely days after revealing the pregnancy, Carson and McAllister could not hide their joy following their baby news.

Witney Carson said,
It’s absolutely insane. It came as a shock because we were not expecting it; we both kind of looked at each other and were very surprised.
She added,
So, it’s kind of taken some time to digest this news, but ultimately, we are just so excited. And it’s just kind of crazy to be growing a human inside me. Like, it’s bizarre!
The couple welcomed their son, Kevin Leo McAllister, on 3rd January 2021.
