For the first time since coming out as transgender last year, The Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page shares a shirtless picture on Instagram.
Merely five months after coming out as trans, Elliot Page confidently showcased his impressive physique this week with a bare-chested photo on Instagram.
He uploaded the image of himself wearing red shorts, which reads:
Trans bb’s first swim trunks #transjoy and #transisbeautiful.
Miley Cyrus was among the celebrities who lauded Elliot Page, 34, for his ripped physique. She wrote, “Hot ❤️.”
Justin Cornwall, Page’s co-star in the Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy added:
Dude I see why you crushed me on that workout!
This is the first instance that the X-Men star has shown off his new torso since performing top surgery, which involves removing breast tissue to give him a more masculine look.
Back in March, the Vanya Hargreeves actor told Time Magazine the treatment had “transformed” his life.
He claimed the surgery allowed him to finally accept himself in the mirror, offering the catharsis he’d been awaiting since puberty’s absolute “hell.”
When The Umbrella Academy star came out in December through an Instagram post, he wrote:
I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.
Page came out as gay for the first time in February of 2014. Since 2018, he had been married to Canadian dancer Emma Porter, but the couple ended their relationship in January 2021.
The duo said in a joint statement,
We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.
Meanwhile, The Umbrella Academy season 3 starring Elliot Page is expected to drop on Netflix early next year.
