Matt Kirschenheiter, the famous husband of Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter, is set to plead guilty in their ongoing domestic violence case.
Gina Kirschenheiter‘s former husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, plans to enter a guilty plea in their pending domestic violence incident.
Matt’s attorney said:
Mr. Kirschenheiter is accepting responsibility for his actions and apologizes to Gina and his family. He is ready to move forward in his life and understands that accepting responsibility is a key step.
They added,
Matt is a great father and looks forward to raising his children with Gina in a positive and loving environment. He has learned from this experience and taken proactive steps to ensure this type of behavior will never repeat itself.
According to Us Weekly, Gina’s attorney told the judge that Matt is eager to enter a guilty plea during a virtual trial last week.
The hearing will be heard again in front of the judge on 9th June. The 36-year-old Gina blamed her former husband for domestic violence in June 2019, alleging he assaulted her severely during a drunken night out. The same month, she was also served with a temporary restraining order.
During a Real Housewives of Orange County reunion in 2019, Gina said:
I was really scared. I ran out of the house and I rang my neighbor’s doorbell, and I was banging on the door, and [Matt] dragged me back in the house.
According to the court docket, the 37-year-old Matt is, in addition, due in court on 20th April in relation to his criminal case on corporal injury and false imprisonment resulted from abuse, intimidation, fraud, or deception charges arising from that incident.

He is facing up to seven years in jail and has previously pled not guilty to the charges. Gina officially filed for a divorce from her ex-husband for the first time in April 2018. The pair shares three kids: 8-year-old Nicholas, 6-year-old Sienna, and 4-year-old Luca.
