Grey’s Anatomy star Kevin McKidd reveals one particular character who should make a return.
Grey’s Anatomy star Kevin McKidd mentioned the iconic character he would love to see make a comeback. The latest season 17 of the medical drama saw both Patrick Dempsey and TR Knight playing the parts of Derek Shepherd and George O’Malley as occasional guests.
So, in the latest interview, McKidd was asked if there was someone else he wishes to see make a return.
The star shared one particular name – and it may not be a shocking choice in the slightest.
He said,
There are so many, but the top of the list for me would be Sandra Oh’s character Cristina Yang – selfishly because she’s my good friend still, and I’d love to get a chance to work with her again.
McKidd added,
I’d love to see how Cristina and Owen would interact all these years later, because they left each other really still in love with each other but she had to change her life. So I think that would be top of my list, Sandra Oh. I don’t know if that will happen, but that would be amazing.
Sandra Oh, who is now playing a starring role as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve, portrayed Cristina for the first ten seasons of the show. The popular character departed for Switzerland to manage a hospital in Zurich.
Even though she is not present, Cristina has been alluded to in many instances, including being the one responsible for sending Cormac Hayes to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. McKidd also replied to rumors about the future of the program saying that he feels there are storylines yet to explore.

The actor said,
I don’t really listen to the speculation, because all of it is beyond my control anyway. But I hope [it isn’t the last season]. I’m definitely game to keep going.
