Gemma Atkinson of Strictly Come Dancing receives a sweet engagement gift from her daughter Mia.
Strictly Come Dancing‘s Gemma Atkinson announced her engagement to her new fiance Gorka Marquez, which has been made even sweeter by a special present from her one-year-old daughter Mia.
Actress and radio host Gemma and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka, who are together for four years, celebrated their engagement on Valentine’s Day and revealed the delightful news via an Instagram upload of themselves taking a stroll, with Gemma sporting a huge, shimmering ring on her finger.
Taking to her Instagram Stories to thank her fans for their congratulations, former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress Gemma also showed the beautiful card Mia crafted for her parents at the nursery.
The blue card shows Mia’s handprints in white ink, with the prints being transformed into a couple of swans with a heart of love placed between them.
One of the swans wears a top hat seated on his head, while the other is wearing a veil, and the words ‘Congratulations Mummy and Daddy’ are dotted across the page.

It is definitely a present worth cherishing for the recently engaged pair, and we expect Mia’s illustrations to make a beautiful complement to the wedding, too.
Gemma and Gorka started off a relationship after stumbling across each other in the BBC dance reality show in 2017 and welcomed their daughter Mia in July 2019.
The news of their engagement was received with excitement by their Strictly peers, with Oti Mabuse writing.

Gemma recently retaliated on the trolling she had faced on social media upon sharing an old glamour modeling shot of herself after a follower suggested that it was not acceptable to share the image now that she’s a mom with Mia.
Gemma said,
She’ll see everything that I’ve done. I’m proud of it all. Just because you did or do glamour modeling doesn’t mean you can be purchased. It’s very sad to put a label on someone because of their job. But hey, guess that’s the world we live in.
