Love Island star Georgia Harrison Confirms Summer Return

George Harrison says Love Island will return in the summer.

Love Island star Georgia Harrison stated the ITV dating program will take place this summer, with producers still monitoring prospective Islanders.

The broadcast has been off-air since the winter iteration concluded in February last year when the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic thwarted hopes to run the show twice a year.

Now, Georgia (who starred in the 2017 edition) stated aspiring candidates are being approached to look for love in the summer of 2021, but she’s reluctant to release the information about who they are.

She told The Sun,

I’m so jealous of anyone who gets to go on it. I’ve heard of a few people who are in the interview process and it’s just so exciting – I wish I could go back in time and be in their position again.

Harrison added,

I don’t want you to say who because I might get into trouble for that – they might get dropped. It’s just friends of friends – it’s just a few people I know.

Georgia further indicated the show is expected to return to its normal location in Mallorca after shooting the very first winter special in South Africa.

She said,

It would be weird if it was filmed anywhere apart from Mallorca.

The reality star continued,

They filmed the one in South Africa, but from what I’ve heard from the people at ITV – it was quite hard to film there and a bit of a struggle so I think if they had the opportunity, they would go back to Europe.

Earlier this week, Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore inflamed the speculations when she hinted at the show’s imminent summer return with a suggestive Instagram post.
