'The Mandalorian' Star Pedro Pascal Reportedly in Negotiations for MCU Role

Marvel is reportedly eyeing The Mandalorian titular star Pedro Pascal for an unknown role.

Pedro Pascal has come on leaps and bounds in over two decades since he landed one of his very first on-screen appearances in the season 4 opener of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999).

The actor then spent the next decade appearing in a number of small-screen staples such as NYPD Blue (2001), four separate variants of Law & Order (2008-11), CSI (2012), The Good Wife (2009-11), Nikita (2013), Homeland (2013), and The Mentalist (2014).

The actor most significantly played the role of Oberyn Martell for a measly seven episodes of Game of Thrones, but he still managed to commence his astronomical rise in Hollywood.

Three seasons of Narcos transformed him into a rising star, while The Mandalorian placed him at the pinnacle with one of the most popular television shows.

During the festive season, Pascal featured in three of the most viewed projects across a trio of streaming platforms thanks to Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian, Netflix’s superhero family comedy movie We Can Be Heroes, and HBO Max’s mega sequel Wonder Woman 1984, and has since embarked on HBO’s highly awaited video game adaptation, The Last of Us.

The actor may not have much free time on his hands given the fact that he’ll remain pretty occupied while filming The Mandalorian season 3, but the latest reports suggest the 45-year-old star is currently in early negotiations for an anonymous role in the MCU.

Pedro Pascal is obviously one of the favorites among the Disney stars since he got selected to lead The Mandalorian, not to mention the direct ties of producer Jon Favreau to Marvel Studios makes him a strong contender.

Furthermore, given the previous links to Doctor Strange and Moon Knight, there is quite a good possibility that Kevin Feige has kept his door open for Pascal as he awaits the right role to play.
