Jared Padelecki's New CW Show 'Walker' Pulled Impressive Viewership Numbers

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki’s new CW drama Walker scored impressive ratings.

The CW’s western drama Walker scored impressive ratings and viewership figures this week for its pilot episode. Jared Padalecki, best known as Sam Winchester on Supernatural, stars as Texas ranger in the brand new series.

Meanwhile, Deadline reveals 2.43 million viewers tuned in to watch the show on Thursday night (21st January), the network’s highest viewership since 2018.

If the series premiere is anything to go by, Walker looks likely to be a massive hit!

As for what’s in store with the new episode next week, the official Episode 2 synopsis reads:

Walker continues to try to reconnect with his family but finds that his kids have developed new routines with Liam (played Keegan Allen). Back at work, Captain James (Coby Bell) tells Walker he needs to get recertified to be a ranger, but old memories of Emily (guest star Genevieve Padalecki) hinder his progress.

In the meantime, one of the 2.43 million fans included former Supernatural star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played Jared’s on-screen father John Winchester.

Drawing attention to Walker‘s debut, the actor (more notable for his portrayal of Negan in The Walking Dead) tweeted:

Just wanted to say congrats to my boy @jarpad. I’m damn proud of him for bringing #Walker back to life as the man, and the exec producer. Well done. And @GenPadalecki to boot?! Pretty damn cool. Love you.

Walker airs Thursday nights on The CW.
