The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco was “uncomfortable” filming sex scenes in the new HBO Max series.
The beloved Penny actress from The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco, was uncomfy while shooting intimate scenes in her new HBO Max hit The Flight Attendant as per co-star Michiel Huisman.
The Flight Attendant is adapted on screen from Chris Bohjalian‘s novel of the same name and follows Cassie Bowden (Kaley), a flight attendant, who carries an addiction to alcohol and later makes a startling realization following a one-night stand.

Upon seeing Alex Sokolov (Michiel) on one of her flights, the two falls for each other and become sexually intimate, only for him to be found murdered the next morning.
Huisman spoke about shooting the act of lovemaking with Cuoco on This Morning, saying it was incredibly awkward because Cuoco had never been a part of an intense sex scene before this series.
Huisman recalled,
I guess that never happened on The Big Bang Theory, so we were doing a fairly decent [scene], we’re making out on the bed, under the covers.
He added,
We’re doing our first scene like that and I noticed she was sort of hovering on top of me, she’s not really sitting on my legs.
Huisman went on to add that the spot Cuoco was in felt awkward after a few shots, and he was struggling to figure out why.
Huisman continued,
After like take three she starts to shake a little bit and I’m like ‘Kaley, what are you doing? Just sit down!’ And it turned out that she was so uncomfortable and she had no idea how to do this thing. She was trying not to touch me.
Cuoco, who has always shown herself as a highly-skilled actress, managed to eradicate her awkwardness in the final piece. In fact, her success in the show earned her a host of award nominations, including the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, and the Golden Globes.

HBO Max earlier announced that the supposed limited series The Flight Attendant will be marking its return with season 2, which we hope will be as successful as the first.
