Jimmy Woo is one of the most popular characters in the MCU right now.
WandaVision star Randall Park has disclosed that he’s not sure if he’s returning in Ant-Man 3. Park plays the role of FBI agent Jimmy Woo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making his first appearance in Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018), and more recently in WandaVision (2021).
Despite his role in Marvel’s debut Disney+ spin-off show, Park seems to be unaware of his future in the standalone Ant-Man movies.
In a recent interview, the actor revealed he hasn’t been asked to come back for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (2022) and is “fine” if he doesn’t feature in the upcoming film.
Park told Extra TV,
I don’t know. I haven’t gotten the call. If I do get the call, I’m on it. If I don’t get the call, that’s fine too because I’m in Westview, New Jersey right now. You know, gotta focus on one case at a time.
The remarks echo Park’s prior assumption that his presence on Ant-Man and The Wasp was “was a one-off” – in favor of the idea that Agent Woo should sit out of Quantumania and possible Ant-Man ventures.
Right now, the character is in the process of figuring out how to liberate people stuck within the virtual Westview prison (of a sort) in WandaVision, who are allegedly being held hostage by Wanda (Elisabeth Olsen).
However, the remarkable episode 5 twist indicates that Wanda might not be as in command of the anomaly as Woo and the audience first believed.
WandaVision airs Fridays on Disney+.
